It is also a strategy that determines the active participation of students in a classroom as their direct encounter with one another equips them with skills and competencies. This study was conducted to see collaborative learning as an instructional strategy for attaining improved learning outcome in public schools in Rivers State. The learning outcome of students in a classroom is very important. Collaborative learning strategies have the potency to generate knowledge and learning outcome which is required for continuing development of students. In addition, collaborative learning is important not just because it is a better way to learn by doing a project in a group but because it penetrates every stage of students’ lives within and outside the four walls of classroom. Thus, learning to collaborate is part of equipping students for effectiveness, problem solving, innovation and life-long learning in the global economy. Cybercrimes are the criminal activities which are being committed using computers and or other digital devices. Crime which is as old as man with its concepts of cybercrime and the ranges were discussed as well as the causes of cybercrime in Rivers state secondary schools amongst the adolescents. The methods of the tricks used to operate cybercrime were also highlighted. The strategies that will be taken to curtail these activities among the adolescents were also discussed. The paper thus strongly recommends that the religious bodies should preach against the evil of cybercrime that is destabilizing the youth and societal growth and development. Again, it recommends that the government should provide employment opportunities for the youths thereby giving them the space for personal growth and to contribute to the development of the society at large. To assist in bridging this gap among other things, this paper examines grammaticalisation of selected compound markers in the Igbo language. Specifically, the paper analysed grammaticalisation processes by which some Igbo lexical verbs grammaticalise as compound markers in v1-v2 structure. Data for the study were sourced from both primary and secondary sources. The theoretical principles of Hopper and Traugott together with Heine and Narrog were adopted as framework for analysis of data. The findings from data analysed show that some Igbo lexical verbs actually grammaticalise as compound markers in v1-v2 structures.
